On Sunday a small but quality field of six players fronted up for a Stableford round in what was threatening conditions.

After some light drizzle on the first few holes the rain cleared and conditions were pretty good.

Rod Shaw (21) blitzed the field with 38 points, his next closest competitor was George Ward (21) four shots behind with 34 points.

Next who followed were Dylan Pool (1) 32, Dave Clark (13) 30, Jacob Howard (9) 29 and Andy Croome (12) 28.

Rod claimed the only nearest the pin on the 10th.

There were also two first round matches played in the Handicap Matchplay.

Jacob Howard defeated Andy Croome three and two and Dylan Pool was made to go all the way against Dave Clark winning two up.

Last Wednesday a versus par event was played.

Hollie Goodwin won the day with -2, Marije Van Epenhuijsen was runner up with -4.

Glenda Marshall was next with -5.

Pam Nankervis won nearest the pin on the 10th and Gail Smith was closest on the 17th.

Wednesday golf is 8:30am for 9am hit off.

This Sunday is the July Monthly Medal, 11:30am for 12pm hit off.

Everyone is welcome on both days.

The Weekly 9 hole competition for Autumn/Winter has now come to an end.

There were 22 players who competed over the 10 weeks.

Overall Competition results.

Women's winner was Andrea Voogt with 21.4 points.

Runners up were Dee Cordy and Michelle Spicer with 18.8 points.

Men's winner was Dylan Pool with17.6 points, runner up was Peter Vasey with 17.4 points.

In the teams event the winners were the Matildas (Andrea Voogt, Kylli Vasey and Rod Shaw) with 374 points.

Runners up were the Dolphins (Trish Croome, Dee Cordy and Dylan Pool) with 359pts.

Third were the Diamonds (Zoe Gephart, Di Goldsworthy and Peter Vasey) with 347 pts.

An enjoyable dinner and presentations at the Hibernian Hotel on Sunday night completed this competition.

Those playing in the Par 3 it starts this week, round 1.

There will be six rounds played over 12 weeks so you have a fortnight to get your round played.

There is a $50 comp fee, pay into the club account with your name and Par3 on payment.

The handicap look up sheets are up on the clubhouse window.
