Get to know your town at Beechworth Welcome Expo

Beechworth residents new and old are invited to discover new hobbies, volunteer opportunities, and local services as Indigo Shire Council and Beechworth Health Service host the free Beechworth Welcome Expo on Friday, October 9. Whether you're new to Beechworth or have called the town home for years, the Beechworth Welcome Expo is a chance to discover the clubs, groups, services and organisations that help make the community thrive. Hosted by Indigo Shire Council and Beechworth Health Service, the free event will be held at Mayday Hills on Friday 9 October from 4.30pm to 7pm, bringing together local clubs, community groups, services and organisations under one roof. Visitors can enjoy live music from Jamswells, food and drink vendors and interactive activities while exploring opportunities to connect with others and participate in community life. The Welcome Expo is designed to help residents learn more about their town, make connections and discover the many opportunities available to get involved in community life. Visitors can meet representatives from a wide range of local groups, learn about volunteering opportunities, explore local services and find new activities, hobbies and ways to participate in the community. Whether you're looking to join a sporting club, volunteer, meet new people, learn a new skill or simply find out what's happening in your area, the expo provides a welcoming and relaxed environment to start the conversation. The event is free to attend and everyone is welcome. This Get To Know Your Town event follows the popular festivals that were held at Chiltern and Kiewa-Tangambalanga earlier this year.
