A MAN and a woman were taken to hospital in a stable condition after a two vehicle head-on collision in Yackandandah at Wodonga-Yackandandah Road on Wednesday afternoon.

The man, in his 20s, was flown to the Alfred Hospital with lower body injuries while a woman, in her 60s, was transported to Albury-Wodonga Health.

Three CFA vehicles from Yackandandah and Allans Flat brigades responded to the incident just before 4pm and on arrival found one patient trapped.

FRV supported at the scene along with police and Ambulance Victoria while the SES helped to extricate the patient from the vehicle.

The incident was declared under control by 4:11pm.
