Last Sunday was the third round of the Summer Cup.

Ten players battled it out in rather muggy conditions.

The winner of the day with a great score of 3 under 65 was Andrew Field (2) with 41 points.

This included an eagle on the par 4, 12th.

Runner up was Alastair Merritt (27) with 38 points.

Ball winners were Andy Croome (12) 35 and Peter Smith (20) 35.

Only the one nearest the pin went off and that went to Andrew Field on the 10th.

After the third round the top three in the Summer Cup taking their best two scores are:

Alastair Merritt 77 (39,38), Andrew Field 76 (35,41), Andy Croome 73 (38,35).

The final round of the Summer Cup is next Sunday.

On Thursday there was a fairly good field of 17 players for Twilight on the front nine.

The winner was Daryl Rowe with 26 points (19+7), runner up taking home the Bridge Road Brewers voucher was Nathan Philpotts with 24 points (22+2).

Ball winners were Alastair Palmer 24, Daniel Balzer 24, Andy Croome 23 and Jarryd Pritchard 23.

The Beechworth Bakery nearest the pin on the 5th went to Nathan Philpotts and Josh Carr claimed nearest the pin on the 7th.

Dan Balzer took home the cash with his nearest chip on the 9th.

Nathan Scott won the CC’s Quality Meats & Smokehouse voucher in the raffle.
