TELSTRA will be upgrading its mobile base station in Beechworth by adding additional infrastructure to improve 4G and 5G connectivity later this month, with temporary outages expected as works are completed. Coverage during daylight hours from Wednesday, September 27 to October 4 is anticipated to experience sporadic interruptions, however, there will be no impact to service on September 29, over the weekend or after 5pm on any day. Landline services, NBN internet services and mobile coverage from other providers will not be impacted. Any calls to Triple Zero form a Telstra mobile when the site is off air will automatically be diverted to any working mobile network for connection to emergency services.
