CATHOLIC Education Week heralds a time of the year when many families with students in Year 6 begin to finalise their plans for secondary education.
At Marian College we aim to make the choice as easy as possible.
We welcome parents and children for a personalised tour of our beautiful campus at a time that works best for them.
For us it is an opportunity to share with them our long and evolving story of spirit-filled service to the Ovens Valley district, and to show them our outstanding learning and well-being facilities.
We’re confident that families will be assured that Marian College is the right place for their child’s secondary education.
Indeed, every day is Open Day at Marian.
We invite families to sample the friendly, respectful atmosphere at the college where students can learn and grow in a close-knit and caring community.
All that people love about living in our region – the glorious setting, the cultural diversity, the sense of connection – are celebrated at Marian College.
We’re a school as genuinely unique as our own part of the world.
An innovative school with an outstanding tradition of academic achievement, Marian College is also a leader in tailoring individual learning and personal development pathways to diverse student needs.
Our expectations of students are high, but we are not a one size fits all school.
As well as offering a wide range of VCE subjects, we also offer vocational pathways, VET courses, work placements, school-based apprenticeships and work experience together with an extensive co-curricular program.
With experienced, knowledgeable and sympathetic guidance students are helped to identify and gain confidence in their emerging abilities and exciting possibilities for the future.
You’ll meet former Marian students in all walks of life, all of them enriched by their time here.
So please contact us at info@mcm.vic.edu.au, call on 5752 1596 or, if passing by, leave a message at our front office to organise a guided tour of a school you’ll be proud to be a part of.
REMEMBERING THEIR SERVICE
MARIAN College held a dedicated whole school service last Thursday, 1 May to commemorate ANZAC Day, led by the senior school leaders with special guests Lieutenant Byron Brun-Smits, Myrtleford RSL immediate past president Bryan Meehan, St Mary’s Primary School choir and St Mary’s principal Andrea O’Connor.
The message of ANZAC Day lives on at Marian and in our identity as Australians; reminding us of the sacrifices of many that have enabled us to live in a peaceful nation, with faith and hope for the future.
Students reflected upon the pain and suffering of all who have been hurt in mind, body and spirit through war, and prayed for peace, leadership, unity, optimism, love and compassion in today’s world.
