A driver was allegedly caught driving more than three times the legal drinking limit in Beechworth on Saturday night. A Victoria Police spokesperson said Beechworth officers intercepted the male driver who had just left a licensed venue. A subsequent breath test showed the driver blew .186 and had his driver’s licence suspended for 12 months. The police spokesperson said he will face court in the coming months. “It’s frustrating to see law enforcement rules blatantly ignored, putting everyone’s safety at risk,” they said.
