TALLANGATTA and District Netball Association will go it alone this weekend for the last home and away match of the season after the football league decided to skip the round and go straight to finals the following weekend.

For the Bushrangers netballers, it will allow a fitting farewell to a frustrating season with the side ready to go out with a bang rather than a whimper on their home courts, even though spectators are not allowed unless a late change is made to restrictions.

A grade co-coach Racheal Cavallin said it was now about a change in mental approach.

"You just get into the mindset that the season was finished for the year and now we focus on preparing to play again," she said.

"But we are lucky we will be able to get out there with our teammates tomorrow and play the sport we love."

The Bushrangers play Dederang/Mt Beauty and the co-coach is confident of a good showing.

"We beat them earlier in the year and it's an advantage to be playing at home," Cavallin said.

"It did feel after the last game we played we'd all be back together the following week but that didn't happen.

"To know this will be the last game of the season means we will give it our best shot and aim to finish on a high."

Cavallin said the lack of spectators would not harm her enthusiastic playing list.

"We have a very positive team; we encourage and back each other so we will make our own 'crowd' noise," she said.

"It's all about enjoyment this weekend."

Cavallin said she and co-coach Coby Brock were already thinking ahead a bit to next year about prospective players, coaches and who from the playing group will be returning next year.

"But really, everyone's plans are up in the air," she said.

"We generally have a preseason get together in November when we get a gauge on numbers but for now we are keeping our attention on this weekend's game."

Although the regular football has ended, the Bushrangers have decided to hold a couple of scratch games to give the younger players in particular a final hit-out.

Club president Adam Fendyk said an under 12s scratch match will be held in the morning followed by a father and son scratch match for the under 14s.

A reminder that no spectators are allowed and all COVIDSafe protocols will be followed.
