Stanley water extraction remains a big concern for local resident

LEE Whamond was born in South Melbourne. Having visited Beechworth and Stanley since the late 1970s, she and her husband decided to make a move to Stanley with their three children in 1991.

What’s your job?

We operate self-contained, chemical-free, holiday accommodation in Stanley and have done so since 2012. I have also been a volunteer trainer with Beechworth Exercise Activity and Training (BEAT) since 2000.

What brought you to these roles?

With chemical sensitivity increasing in our population we wanted to provide healthy, chemical-free accommodation (and property) environment for all of our guests, not just people with chemical and artificial fragrance sensitivity.
