ON a beautiful spring day last Sunday, it was good to see a good field of players front up for the Monthly Medal and quite a few social golfers out on course as well.

Unfortunately the good weather didn't bring out good golf, as Jamie Dolny won the Monthly Medal with a score of 91/18/73.

There was a three way countback required for the runner up position with Rod Shaw (30) 75, edging out Dave Lang (19) 75 and Zane Howard (22) 75.

No one was good enough to hit their tee shot on the green on any of the par 3s but Jacob Howard did manage to hit his tee shot on the par 4 second to two feet and roll in the eagle to claim the 16 beers in the Eagle's nest. Well done Yogi.

Jamie also organised a few prizes for a raffle with a bit of a father's day theme and Dave Lang was the happy winner.

Last Wednesday there was a small field that assembled for a Stableford event.

The winner was Nada Guyatt (28) with 27 points on a countback from Debbie Tully (25) 27.

Gail Smith claimed a nearest the pin on the 10th.

Well done also to Gail Smith who was right up the top of the placegetters on Monday at Mansfield in the foursomes event that is part of the NEDGA women's Championships.

There are a number of Beechworth's members participating so hopefully there are some more winners to be announced down the track.

This coming Sunday as has been already said, is Chiltern's Tournament.

It's a 9am for a 9:30am start.

At this stage we have four or five players going, but it would be great to see a few more as they are great supporters of our events.

Let Dylan know if you want to play or turn up to Chiltern by 9am.
