New smoke detecting sensor being developed to help North East region wine growers

A NEW smoke taint detecting sensor being developed by a university research team headed by La Trobe's Professor Ian Porter will help North East wine growers in times of bushfire smoke impacts.

The tool will enable growers to make early decisions when bushfires threaten their crops.

The sensor's development is being funded with grants received by the North East Wine Zone working group (NEWZ) ...
