Hawks, Bombers battle out close result

KIEWA Sandy Creek and Dederang Mount Beauty battled out the closest game of the round on Saturday, with the Hawks pipping the Bombers by seven goals.

The Hawks held sway for the entire game, going from a 9-6 lead at quarter time to a 21-16 half time buffer thanks to an almost perfect shooting quarter from Hawks’ shooter Rebecca Evans who went seven from nine in a massive quarter.

Evans finished the game as the Hawks’ best player and with 23 of Kiewa Sandy Creek’s 39 goals.
