Why has the traffic mode in Last Street been altered?
The Last Street route is part of the CBD bypass – ie. Church Street to Last Street to Sydney Road.
Last Street has, for over 70 years, been a natural bypass alternative, alleviating congestion in Ford Street.
As it worked so well – why alter it?
The tranquility of nearby residents has been eroded enough, without traffic hazards being introduced...
