I congratulate the Mountain Cattlemen's Association for the generational change in leadership, but it's a pity the new president is just as committed as the previous one to the myth that alpine grazing reduces blazing.
This has been proven wrong time and time again.
Alpine grazing does little or nothing to reduce the risk of bushfires but it does enormous damage to alpine ecosystems.
