A LOCAL creative artist scooped the inaugural Beechworth Contemporary Art Award's $10,000 major prize, which was announced at last Friday night's event launch held at the Quercus Beechworth Oregon Hall.
Gundowring's Susie Losch had been among 10 well–known Australian contemporary artists in the running for the prize, with their work selected from more than 200 entries from around the nation.
