Channel 7’s Sunrise in Beechworth for Tour de Cure

CHANNEL 7's Sunrise beamed into households around the nation from Beechworth on Tuesday with sports presenter and Tour de Cure campaigner Mark Beretta covering the tour on its 1445km ride over nine days to Canberra.

On a quest to raise $2 million through individual fundraising efforts over the last 12 months, money will fund cancer research, support and prevention projects Australia–wide.

The tour kicked off from Geelong last Friday with 152 cyclists streaming into Beechworth early Tuesday morning.

Yarrawonga Lions Club Turban Angels that make free turbans to support people suffering hair loss from cancer treatment, and one of nine local community groups along the way to receive a $10,000 grant, had a chance to say thank you to Tour de Cure.
