Wanderers fall short in season opener

BEECHWORTH’S A grade cricket side were only a few runs short of grabbing a win from their first match of the season on the weekend, downed by City Colts at Bill O’Callaghan Oval.

After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, the Wanderers made 6/161 from their 40 overs, while the Colts made 175 with five wickets in hand in response.
