AROUND 30 passionate landcarers held a first–time celebration with a public opening of a bush botanic garden project near the Chinese gardens towards the end of last month.

Local resident Mary Bould joined close friend and neighbour the late Ali Garnet in leading the project known as the Beechworth Bush Botanic Gardens (BBBG).
