AN alcoholic ginger beer was brewed for the first time in more than 120 years at the historic Billson’s Brewery in Last Street on Monday of this week.

It is one of the newest additions to an expanding range of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic products that includes hand-crafted beer - a Lager and Pale Ale - made for the first time in December last year in more than a century.

Owner Nathan Cowan continues to revive original recipes since he bought the old brewery - established in 1865 - close to 18 months ago.
