SOUNDING THE CALL: Wangaratta High School students Stephanie Grant (clarinet), Xavier Zachariou (trombone) and Sam Brooker (trumpet) hope fellow woodwind and brass musicians will take advantage of the chance to participate in the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues' community project this year. As the festival returns to a live format in 2022, locals will be able to take part in three workshops with Melbourne band Horns of Leroy – the first of them on April 9 – and then hit the stage with the band during the October festival.
